On a weekend full of emotion, we were able to tear up while snapping away in a relaxing destination away from home, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. At the Riu Palace Bavaro, Andrea and Eric got hot and steamy all over the resort making the weather 10 times hotter!! So we covered them with sand and made them cool off on the beach… =]

Our favorite 49er season ticket holding couple are engaged and they took us on a fun day with their dogs while we snapped away at them. We gave Angelica a chance to show Darcy who is boss by making her tackle him… multiple times!! We can’t wait to see them having fun at a 49er game when the season officially starts! Also, we can’t wait to capture their special day in Maui, HI!!!

Not only did I get spanked for my birthday from two friggin’ awesome ladies, Tanja Lippert and Tia Reagan, I got to take their T&T Dynamite “Art of Directing” 2-day Workshop in VEGAS BABY!!

Poets precisely describe emotion, photographers love to capture it, but T&T makes you feel and experience the emotion by DIRECTING it. I call it LEVEL TEN DIRECTING PHOTOGASM!!!!

To anybody interested in their workshop, I suggest take it! They don’t hold back. Trust me they DON’T HOLD BACK on anything. You’re head will explode with so much information.

Here’s a couple snaps from the workshop.

— UPDATE —
This isn’t the workshop where you learn 100 poses for a couple of days. This is the workshop where that the word “pose” is taboo and you learn how to direct your beautiful subjects to do what you envision.

Tanja and Tia start you off by doing crazy things that make you realize how “level 10” feels like. If you have never felt emotion in your work, you will… and when you utilize the learnings from this workshop into your work, you’ll notice the difference.

I got to admit, the workshop was not anything I expected. It was way cooler!!!! In order for you to portray to your clients how to look and feel in your images, you must feel the emotion yourself through exercises. These exercises you do in the workshop might feel awkward at first, but it definitely works wonders!

I have to warn.. Tanja does critique you! So take criticism to the fullest positive extent because criticism from an awesome photographer does not come by very often. Also, awesome models are provided, but they’re not real models. So you get the real deal to direct yourself.

One of the best parts of the workshop is meeting other fellow photographers. They’re in the same boat as you and you learn with them. It’s like having a support group!

For two days, you learn so much information that your head will explode, but the overwhelming information is definitely worth every penny. Post workshop, I would pick up my camera and I would always have a little Tanja and Tia on my shoulders giving me reminiscent knowledge of what we learned at the T&T Dynamite workshop.

So I urge the serious to take this workshop!! It will change the way you look at photography!!

I’ve known Gerald for many years, which we’ve developed a social and artistic friendship. So when he asked me to shoot his wedding, I was pretty shocked… yet honored. To top it off, Eileen has an awesome laid back personality, which I totally dig. So, it made it easy to capture their special day at Hazlwood in Los Gatos.

ShawnLamPhotography came to help shoot alongside too…

Awesome stuff down below… enjoy!!! BTW, those Ferrari’s make me droooooool!!!! Vroooooom!!!
